Wonder Works, a Children’s Museum in Oak Park, to Host First Golf Outing
October 16 Outing at Oak Park Country Club Will Benefit Children's Museum

September 18, 2003 - Wonder Works, a Children’s Museum in Oak Park, will hold its first golf outing to raise money for the museum. The Oak Park Country Club is hosting the event on Thursday, October 16. Check in starts at 11:30 a.m. and cocktails and a silent auction will follow the tournament.

The entry fee, which includes lunch and refreshments, is $250 per person or $1,000 per foursome. Hole sponsorships are also available for $250 each. Space is very limited and reservations are required. To register or to sponsor a hole, call the museum at 708.383.4815 or visit www.wonder-works.org.

The museum, which opened May 24, continues to raise money for operating funds, for additional exhibits and for additional programming that will benefit children and families from around the area.

"We are off to a terrific start, and we have more than 350 members already," says John Harris, Board President. "This golf outing will help us to keep building an even better experience for our visitors."

Oak Park resident Michael Griffin is chairing the golf outing. Special thanks go to Tom Keegan for sponsoring Wonder Works at the Oak Park Country Club and to the club for agreeing to host the event.

All proceeds will benefit Wonder Works. A portion of the proceeds will provide museum memberships to low-income families.
