Wonder Works Children's Museum to Host Golf Outing to Raise Funds for Non-Profit Museum

Oak Park, Illinois - May 19, 2008 - Wonder Works, a Children's Museum in Oak Park, will host its 6th annual Wide World of Wonder Works Golf, a golf outing to raise money for the non-profit children's museum. The event will take place Wednesday, June 4 at 11am at Traditions at Chevy Chase Golf Course in Wheeling.

The 80-person event is open to the public. Individual tickets are $225 or $850 for a foursome and includes a round of golf, lunch, dinner and prizes. "The success of the museum depends on fundraiser attendance and each year the golf outing provides increased support," says Michael Griffin, golf outing co-chair. "Through the outing we raise awareness of Wonder Works' mission to help young children learn through creative play."

According to Board President John Harris, "As a non-profit, this event supports our operating budget, and helps us bring in more kids for field trips who otherwise can't afford to come to the museum."

Hole sponsorships are also available for $350. To become a sponsor and/or register for the event, visit the Wonder Works web site at www.wonder-works.org, or call the museum at 708.383.4815 and talk with Mary or David.
