Oak Park, Illinois — December 28, 2005 —Wonder Works, a Children’s Museum in Oak Park, welcomes Joel Frankel for a live performance on Sunday, January 22 at 4pm as a part of the museum’s 2005/2006 Concert Series. Frankel’s performance will showcase songs from his latest CD, “Ship of Chocolate Chips,” which won a Parents’ Choice Award.

Frankel, a singer, songwriter and children’s entertainer, has been entertaining families for nearly two decades. Frankel’s three past children’s albums, “Don’t Sit On A Cactus,” “I Can’t Sit Still” and “JoJo’s Barnyard Bash,” have received numerous awards including the Dr. Toy Best Audio Award. Frankel is a member of the venerable Old Town School of Folk Music faculty and has developed a creative and stimulating musical performance that captivates listeners of all ages.

The concert will begin at 4pm, and the museum will have special hours that day. Wonder Works will close at 3:30pm for non-ticket holders and will remain open until 6pm for the concert. The 6,400 square foot museum, located at 6445 West North Avenue in Oak Park, includes exhibits, educational programming, a retail store and a children’s party room. The museum is open Wednesday thru Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday noon to 5 pm. Admission is $5 per person and free for members and children under age one.
