Oak Park, Illinois - July 21, 2006 - Live music by The Population heads fundraising event for Children's Museum in Oak Park

The Population, an Britpop duo, will perform live at Fitzgerald's in the side bar on August 3, 2006 at 7pm as a part of a fundraiser for Wonder Works, a Children's Museum in Oak Park. The event, featuring food by Wishbone, will help to raise money for the non-profit museum, which depends on donations for 50 percent of its annual budget.

Thomas Babbo, who lives in Chicago, and Michael Huber of Indianapolis are the Population. They make catchy, melodic pop songs, from pre-fab to post-punk, bitter to sweet, country to rock-n-roll. You can call us Britpop, indiepop or powerpop - we like and make music with hooks and melody," says Babbo.

The fundraiser will begin at 7pm at Fitzgerald's, located at 6615 W. Roosevelt Road in Berwyn. Tickets are $25 at the door. For more information, call 708.383.4815 or e-mail info@wonder-works.org.
