North Avenue Art Works

In Wonder Works' hands-on art studio, children are surrounded by a variety of paints, crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors and a large selection of media which allow them to let their imagination create masterpieces. Here, children learn art-making skills while parents and educators watch their cognitive growth expand. Together, children and adults will recognize that the process of creating art - not the final product - unlocks a child's potential for self-expression.

The North Avenue Art Works experience is fully equipped on a daily basis, but also hosts an increasing number of workshops, classes, guided art projects and after-school programs focusing on the creative process in child development. Workshops include tie-dying t-shirts, jewelry making, creative photography, decorating stepping stones and many more. North Avenue Art Works is coordinated by our Artist in Residence, Education Coordinator, and guest artists who visit throughout the year.
